When is ShamrockFest? The ShamrockFest takes place on Saturday, March 13, 2010

When does the event start? Due to the high demand for the ShamrockFest the main gates will open early. Here is the gate & service schedule:

• 11:30am until Noon:Registration for the Chest Bump participants (at main gate)
• 12:00 Noon:            Main gates open (Main Event areas are open with Main Event beer and food service)
• 1:00pm:                  Entry into VIP Area is opened (Beverage service in the VIP area begins)
• 1:00pm:                  Entertainment begins in all areas

What alcoholic beverages will be served at the ShamrockFest? There will be various malt beverages served at the event, ranging from Guinness, "the pride of Ireland," to lighter, less-filling brands, including Smirnoff Ice, Harp and Red Stripe.  These four brands will be available in both the Main Event Area and the VIP Area.  However, additional brands may be added and/or substitutions may be made at any time throughout the day, based on consumption and availability.

What does VIP Include? The VIP experience includes everything listed on the home page. This year, we have made some VIP upgrades. VIPs will now have even more tented entertainment areas (There are now three (3) massive tented areas) as well as more beer pouring stations (to eliminate any long lines). VIPs have great viewing of the main Irish Stages as well, without having to leave the VIP areas.  We have also added food vendors (food is not included in the VIP ticket price).  So now the ShamrockFest VIP experience has got it all! NOTE: All beer is free for VIPs while inside the VIP areas.  VIPs will not be allowed to take beer out of the VIP Areas.

Do I have to be 21 to enter? ShamrockFest is for all ages with many activities for all - kids & adults. However, you must be 21 to purchase or consume alcohol. You also must be 21 to enter the VIP areas.

Can I bring my own food and/or beverages? No food or beverages will be permitted to be brought into or out of the events.

How do I purchase food & drink at the event? 1) In the main event area you may purchase beer tickets which can then be purchased for beer only and food is purchased with cash only from the various food vendors. 2) In the VIP area beer is provided for free inside the VIP areas only and food may be purchased with cash only from the various food vendors. Note VIPs can only obtain free beer within the VIP area space and not inside the main event areas. (There are no refunds on the beer tickets under any circumstances)

Can I bring my pet? Sorry pets are not permitted unless necessary for our disabled guests.

How long is the beer served? The street beer booths are scheduled to start at 1 pm and end at 7 pm, but the event reserves the right to discontinue service, at any time, to any person or persons (The beer service ending time may be extended, or cut shorter, based on the discretion of the authorities).

Once I have checked into the festival can I leave then re-enter? There is no re-entry to the festival after you exit.

What are the security policies? To ensure the best possible guest experience during this event, please observe the following:

Glass, plastic, food, drinks , weapons and illegal substances prohibited
Bags and purses will be searched.
Disruptions may result in ejection
No re-entry
Your Cooperation is appreciated.

Notice: RFK Stadium, ShamrockFest Staff or Security Personnel are not allowed to hold or check any items not allowed into the stadium.

What does "rain or shine" mean? It means that the event will go on regardless of the weather conditions (rain, snow, sleet, etc.). In past years celebrants have had a great time partying in all conditions.Legions of professionals are working tirelessly to finalize all details and ensure an amazing, fun-filled day of music, food, beverages, activities and more!  The festival site area is being cleared of any remaining snow, the multitude of stages and tents are being prepared and erected, the carnival rides are being tested and the vendors are preparing their goods, and on and on and on.  This is shaping up to be the most exciting and outrageous ShamrockFEST ever!! 

What is SCAN? SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the well-being of children, improve parent-child relations and prevent child abuse and neglect by:

Educating the community about the scope, nature and consequences of child abuse and neglect and the importance of positive, nurturing parenting;Providing direct parent education; and Advocating for children in the community, the legislature and the courts.
