This year, ShamrockFest is adding an amazing new element to the ShamrockFest excitement. We are proud to be working with the Susan G Komen Global Race for the Cure as we host the first-ever “Chest Bump Against Cancer” – and in the process we will not only be setting a new Guinness Book world record, but we will also be raising much needed funds to support Susan G Komen Global Race for the Cure. Join in the fight to “bump out” cancer and get your name in the record books at the same time!! What is the Chest Bump Against Cancer? Glad you asked…
What is the Chest Bump Against Cancer?
The Chest Bump Against Cancer is a exciting new activity, in which anybody can participate. Participants will check in at the ShamrockFest main gate on March 13, 2010. Once the participants have checked in they will be paired up (you can bring your own partner or we will pair you up with someone.) Everyone will be lined up, face-to-face with their partners. Then, at the sound of a signal, everyone will simultaneously bump chests with their partners, in a celebratory manner. It is that easy.
But that is not all. The entire “Chest Bump” will be videotaped and registered with the Guinness Book of World Records. WE WILL BE SETTING A WORLD RECORD –AND YOU CAN BE A PART OF IT! And if that was not enough, bring your autograph book, because we’ve got some surprise celebrity guests coming to “Bump” too!
After this amazing feat…the real fun begins – SHAMROCKFEST!
How can I participate in the Chest Bump Against Cancer?
It is so easy to participate. When you purchase your ticket for ShamrockFest, be sure to get the ticket that includes the Chest Bump registration (note: you cannot participate in the Chest Bump unless you purchase a ShamrockFest ticket that includes the Chest Bump registration fee.) Then bring your ticket to the ShamrockFest main gate on Saturday March 13, 2010, before ShamrockFest begins. From there you will be directed into the Chest Bump location. After the Chest Bump, you may stay in the ShamrockFest festival grounds and enjoy an amazing day of ShamrockFest excitement.

How is the money from the Chest Bump Against Cancer registration fee allocated?
The Chest Bump Against Cancer registration fee is $12. $10 of this fee goes directly to Susan G Komen Global Race for the Cure to support cancer research. The remaining $2 of the registration fee will be used to help pay the costs of producing the Chest Bump Against Cancer activity.

Not only did she beat the big C Monster, but she then left her lucrative career and dedicated her life to helping other cancer victims during their darkest hours. Carolyn is the founder of the IIIB’s Foundation, a non-profit organization designed to assist and support women who are currently engaged in the fight of their lives.
